Copyright law:

Copyright and Image Materials

All images are protected under copyright law, which means that photographs and other visual materials may only be used with permission from the copyright holder. Copyright applies regardless of whether an image is freely available on Google, a website, or social media.

When does copyright law not apply?

Copyright for a work expires 70 years after the creator's death. After this period, the work is still subject to Droit moral, meaning the creator must be credited when their work is used, and it must not be utilized in a degrading or offensive manner.

Images are not protected by copyright if explicitly stated by the creator or if they are available via platforms that offer royalty-free images. These can be found through Google searches for images without copyright.

Additionally, images created using artificial intelligence (AI) may be freely accessible, depending on the platform and its licensing terms.
